Okay so your trying to figure out this Paleo eating. Your not really sure what you need to buy.  Where do you begin?

When I started Paleo I was very confused to say the least.  I remember being told one thing that stuck in my brain.

“ONLY SHOP ON THE OUTSIDE ISLES OF THE GROCERY STORE”

This stuck with me and made it easier to choose the right choices I needed to start my journey.

So I  have put together a list of must haves for you.

Clean Eating Grocery Shopping

Paleo Style

First Things first-Only shop on the outside of the isles at the grocery store

Read your labels !!!!!   If you can’t understand what it is in it put it back

Your items should be of the freshest ingredients and all NATURAL

Focus on the crops in season—organic if possible


  • Fruits, try to get those less in carbohydrates
  • Vegetables Stock up on lots of these
  • Potato – Sweet Potato only
  • Meat, go for grass fed if you can afford it.  If not go with the leanest cuts of beef
  • Fish, Salmon, Tuna – Choose those with  High Omega –3 fatty acids
  • Poultry – Breast & Thighs have the most meat
  • OILS – Coconut, Olive, Walnut and Avocado
  • Butter- organic, ghee
  • Coconut Milk – No sugar added in a can
  • Eggs – Omega-3 Fortified from free range
  • Nuts – Walnut & Macadamia Best choice 
  • Chocolate – Cacoa, all natural,dark chocolate,  highest cacoa percentage
