What’s the twist????

4 tablespoons kerrygold butter
1 large yellow onion diced
2 tablespoon crushed Garlic
2 pounds ground beef
1 pound Sweet Italian Sausage (Good Nature) out of casing
2 sweet potato or Yam diced up
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons ground cumin
1-1 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (more or less to taste)
1 teaspoon garlic powder.
1 1/2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon salt & pepper each
1 can (14.5ounces) Hunts Tomato purée
5 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
1/2 cup beef broth

1. Heat a large, deep pot over medium-high heat, then add the butter. When it is melted, add onions, stir and cook until they’re translucent in color. Add the garlic cook about 30 seconds, add ground meat into the pan, mixing to combine. Continue to cook the meat, stirring often, until it’s no longer pink.
2. While cooking meat in separate pan fry up pork sausage (which you have taken out of casing) until no longer pink and breaking it up as you cook. Add to meat mixture .
3. Add the chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, cocoa, allspice, and salt.
4. Add tomato purée and the tomatoes with their juice, then add beef broth to the pot. Stir well. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to bring to a simmer. Simmer uncovered for several hours.
