I have not been as active with my blog I know, and it is because I am focusing on me for a bit. I am taking advantage of a free daily meditation experience. Desire and Destiny with Oprah and Deepak

I have been going through some personal anguish recently and this couldn’t have come at a better time for me. I take 15-20 minutes of “Me” time. Focusing purely on me, connecting with my emotions, my purpose and who I am really meant to be. It relaxes me and taps into my energies. I truly feel wonderful after taking this time for me.

There are many things in life that are beyond our control. However, it is possible to take responsibility for our own states of mind and I am learning we can change them for the better. Meditation is a means of transforming the mind. Meditation practices are techniques that encourage and develop concentration, clarity, emotional positivity, and a calm seeing of the true nature of things.
Once you have accomplished the ability to turn your mind “off” during your mediation sessions, it is now time to commune with your Creator. Meditation is the tool given to us to carry an inner conversation with our Source. It becomes hard for the Universe to communicate with us when our minds are constantly thinking. We must learn how to “connect” with our soul through meditation, in order to receive the messages needed to overcome the obstacles in our life.
